District 13 participated in the TRTA Virtual House of Delegates on March 25, 2026, in San Marcos, TX. Despite a few glitches, the statewide event among 20 Districts and TRTA offices was successful in conducting the business of TRTA. Amendments were read and voted on, dues increase from $35 to $48 was passed, and we ALL LEARNED A LOT!
After lunch, District 13 held an abbreviated version of the Spring Conference. Officers were installed (the same ones as before, a tribute to D13 President Joe Ramirez and his leadership and communication skills). News was shared, awards were handed out and CASH doorprizes were drawn. A busy, historic and frustrating at times day, with a rousing and cheerful ending
Congratulations and thanks to these folks for stepping up and keeping District 13 on course. L-R: Joe Ramirez, President; Melanie Mica, 1st V-President; Alice Castillo, 2nd
V-President; Shelly McNulty, Secretary; Michial Meyer, Treasurer; and Evelyn Weinheimer representing Gene Stokes, Past President.
